Diagnostics of malfunctions of a starter without its removal from the car

Before starting starter diagnostics make sure that the battery is completely charged.

If the starter does not join in general, make sure that the selector lever is established in correct position (Р or N) (АТ), or the coupling pedal (РТ) is squeezed out.

Make sure that the battery is charged, and plugs and tips of all wires (on the battery and the traction relay) are not damaged by corrosion and reliably fixed.

If the starter rotates, but does not scroll the engine, it speaks about proslipping обгонной муфты in a starter and necessity of replacement of the last.
