Check of a condition and replacement of wires of the battery

Periodically check battery wires on all their length on presence of damages, cracks and прогаров isolation, and also signs of corrosion of a vein. Bad contact of tips of wires of the battery can be at the bottom of difficulties at start of the engine and decrease in capacity developed by it.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check up a condition of tips of wires put on plugs on presence of cracks, fastening easings on a vein and corrosion traces. Presence fragile коркообразного a touch of white colour on battery plugs, tips of wires and under isolation is a sign of corrosion of a wire in case of which detection it should be replaced. Check up plugs and tips of wires on presence of deformations, losses or easings of fixing bolts and corrosion traces. At removal of wires always first of all disconnect from the battery negative (and connect the last), the probability casual закорачивания a positive pole on weight by a key otherwise is not excluded at easing/tightening клеммного a clip. If the radio tape recorder in your car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect from the battery a negative wire make sure that the given code know.

    Disconnect old wires from the battery, then track each of them to the opposite end disconnect from plugs of the traction relay of a starter and grounding. Try to remember how each of wires is laid in an impellent compartment for the purpose of their correct installation at assemblage. In case of need replacements any of wires (or both) take with itself in shop old. It is extremely important, that a new wire on a design of tips, to a standard size and other parametres corresponded to the removed. Wires have the distinctive features facilitating their correct identification at a choice: the positive wire is usually covered by isolation of red colour and has большее cross-section section; the wire of grounding of usually black colour, also has the smaller size cross-section section. Remove from a carving part клеммных connections of the traction relay and weight of the engine traces of corrosion by means of a wire brush. Connect a wire to the plug of the traction relay or grounding and reliably tighten a fixing bolt/nut. Before connecting a wire to the battery make sure that it reaches it without a tension.
