Fusible inserts - the general information
Protection of some contours is carried out by inclusion in their electric chain of fusible inserts. Inserts are usually used for protection of contours not equipped with safety locks, such as an ignition contour.
Fusible inserts on the given models are similar to safety locks in the sense that their exit out of operation (оплавление) is easily defined visually. Inserts equip the block of distribution of capacity (РDС) in an impellent compartment (Relay Section - the general information).
For replacement of a fusible insert at first disconnect a negative wire from the battery. Take burnt down insert and establish on its place new (can be got in dealer branch or shop of automobile accessories). Before insert replacement necessarily try to define the reason of the overload which have caused its exit out of operation.
