Check of functioning and replacement of components of system of stabilisation of turns of idling (IAC)

Management of idling turns is made by means of the valve of additional air (IAC). The valve provides change of volume of air submitted to the inlet pipeline around. Valve work the module of management РСМ taking into account changes of current operating conditions of the engine (inclusion-deenergizing of the conditioner of air and system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel, temperature of the engine and other conditions) operates.

Check

Firm Chrysler recommends to use the special diagnostic device included consistently between motor IAC and an electric socket of a plait of wires for system check. There are some ways of check of functioning of system IAC forces of the mechanic-fan, however they are rather limited and yield certain result only in case of revealing of stable refusals.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disunite an electric socket of valve IAC and attentively listen to changes of turns of idling of the engine. Again connect a socket, include the conditioner of air and again listen to changes of turns. At the cold engine motor IAC to change idling turns, forcing them to fluctuate in process of engine warming up, the same concerns also a case of inclusion of the conditioner of air. In the absence of obvious signs of functioning of motor IAC continue check. By means of the voltmeter check up pressure on motor IAC - measure pressure on a feeding half of socket of the motor. At the working engine pressure should be present. At change of turns of the engine from top to down (or on the contrary) pressure should fluctuate between values in 2.0 and 6.0 V.Rezultaty of the given check is difficult enough to interpret in view of their dependence on changes of operating conditions of the engine.
    Measure pressure on a brown-white wire (plug) and a yellow-red wire socket (plug) at the included ignition (a key in position ON, the engine does not work) (the engine in volume 5.2 is shown).
    If pressure is absent, make diagnostics of malfunctions of electric contour IAC in a workshop of dealer branch or a car repair shop. If the processor provides pressure giving on motor IAC, make sure that the motor not заедает or has not failed. Remove the motor and, having left its connected, turn the ignition key in position ON (without starting the engine). If плунжер it is involved, start the engine and make sure in выдвигании плунжера for the purpose of indemnification of increase of turns of idling. It is required to stop up a niche in the throttle case under motor IAC installation.

If the pin is put forward, the engine should be disconnected before it leaves more than on 6,3 mm. Not performance of the given requirement is fraught with failure of motor IAC and necessity of its replacement. In a kind of last remark it will be reasonable to take advantage at performance of the given check by the help of the assistant into which problem will enter поворачивание at the command of the ignition key.


    Take regulator IAC from the throttle case, without disuniting its electric socket. Make sure that плунжер moves at first at ignition inclusion (a key in position ON), and then at engine start.

Replacement

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disunite an electric socket of valve IAC. Give fixing screws and remove valve IAC from the inlet pipeline.
    Give screws of fastening of valve IAC (the engine in volume 5.2).
    Screws of fastening of valve IAC (the engine in volume 4.0).
    Installation make upside-down. Do not forget to replace a sealing ring.
