System recycling the fulfilled gases (EGR)

In case of damage or a detachment of an electromagnet of management loss of an electric signal and valve EGR occurs valve EGR is stopped in open position during all time of warming up and engine functioning. Symptoms of such situation are decrease in an overall performance of the engine, infringement of stability of turns of idling and occurrence of the problems connected with operation of the car.

The general description

Systems EGR it is applied only on engines in volume of 5.2 l. Its problem is issue decrease in atmosphere оксидов nitrogen (NOх) at the expense of return of a part of the fulfilled gases through valve EGR and the inlet pipeline in combustion chambers.

Valves EGR and electronic transmitter EGR (ЕЕТ) on engines of 5.2 l.

The system recycling the fulfilled gases consists of valve EGR, the transmitter противодавления with the electromagnetic valve of management EGR (ЕЕТ), the electronic module of management (РСМ) and various gauges. РСМ it is programmed on optimum size of opening of valve EGR at any service conditions of the engine. The gauge of degree of opening of valve EGR defines height of lifting of valve EGR and sends corresponding signals on РСМ. РСМ compares the received information to the data on optimum opening of the valve which are defined on the basis of the analysis of the signals received from other gauges. If between these sizes there is a divergence, РСМ gives a command on operation of the electromagnetic valve of management for the purpose of reduction of depth of the depression put to valve EGR.



    Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature. Check up all hoses and system EGR tubes on presence of signs of leaks, cracks, перекручиваний and traces of ageing of a material. Before passing to valve EGR check it is necessary to be convinced of sufficiency of a condition of hoses unequivocally. Check up correctness of a lining of vacuum hoses of system EGR (Section the General information). In case of need bring updatings. Disconnect a vacuum hose from valve EGR and instead of it connect the manual vacuum pump.
    Create depression directly on valve EGR and make sure that the valve diaphragm moves upwards-downwards freely, without signs закусывания - at applying of depression the engine should глохнуть.
    Start the engine and create on the valve depression by depth of 127 mm hg idling Turns thus should fall considerably, up to an engine stop that speaks about serviceability of functioning of system EGR. If changes in frequency of rotation of the engine it is not observed, it can be a sign of failure of valve EGR, infringement of passableness of tube EGR or channels in the inlet pipeline or a final collector (the last can be caused accumulation of coal adjournment). Create depression on valve EGR and observe a course of its rod. If the valve opens and closed normally, and the engine not глохнет, check up channels. Connect the vacuum gauge to a vacuum line of electronic transmitter EGR (ЕЕТ), start the engine and make sure that on valve EET depression of demanded depth is created.
    Measure depth of depression on valve EET at the working engine.
    Also make sure available on ЕЕТ pressure of the battery at the included ignition (a key in position ON, the engine is not started).
    At the included ignition (and not started engine) on valve EET pressure of the battery should take place.
    Whether lift the receiver EGR and check up there are no infringements of passableness of ports in the pipeline or a collector, whether tubes are deformed and whether take a place any other malfunctions. In case of need replace tube EGR.

If valve EGR is strongly hammered by coal adjournment, do not try to scratch out they be replace the valve.

    Lift the receiver EGR and check up it on infringement of passableness and presence of damages.

Replacement of components

Valve EGR


    Disunite an electric socket of the electromagnetic valve of management EGR (ЕЕТ). Give two fixing nuts and remove valve EGR. The valve acts in film the uniform block with ЕЕТ.
    Give two bolts (arrow) in valve EGR basis.
    Smooth out interfaced surfaces of valve EGR and a nozzle. Establish valve EGR, having replaced its lining. Strongly tighten fixture. Connect an electric socket.

Electromagnet of management ЕЕТ


    Disunite electric socket ЕЕТ. Disconnect the vacuum hoses connecting ЕЕТ with valve EGR. Take ЕЕТ from an impellent compartment. Installation make upside-down.
