Removal and installation of a radiator and broad tank of system of cooling

Before starting procedure performance wait full cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. Empty cooling system (the Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance). If the cooler is rather new, or is in a satisfactory condition, keep it for the further application.

Removal and installation of a broad tank of system of cooling

Before starting procedure performance wait full cooling of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Uncover a jellied mouth of a tank and empty cooling system (the Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance), plums from a tank all liquid. Loosen the шланговые collars also disconnect a hose from a tank. Give screws/nuts and remove a tank.
    Give the screw with a nut, disconnect a hose (arrows) and take a broad tank of system of cooling from the engine.
    Installation make upside-down.

Radiator removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Loosen the шланговые collars remove from the unions радиаторные hoses. If hoses "have become attached", grasp them more close by the end self-blocked nippers and try повращать, then remove them from unions - try not to damage unions the Old or destroyed hoses it is necessary to cut off from unions and at assemblage to replace new. Disconnect a hose of a broad tank from a jellied mouth of a radiator. Take (having hooked them) two clips of fastening of forward rubber consolidation of a cowl, having provided with that access to two of bolts of fastening of the top support of a radiator (the panel with fixed on it information шильдами). Give bolts. Give other bolts of fastening of a support of a radiator and remove a support together with a clamp of the lock of a cowl and connected to it приводным a cable. Will put a support aside.
    Remove a radiator support together in a clamp of the lock of a cowl and will put it aside.
    Give screws of fastening of a casing of the fan to a radiator and shift a casing towards the engine. If the car is equipped АТ, disconnect from a back part of a radiator of a line of cooling трансмиссионной liquids (the Head Automatic transmission). For gathering of a spilt liquid take advantage of drain capacity. Закупорьте lines and unions. Give fixing bolts and cautiously take a radiator from an impellent compartment. Do not suppose pouring out from a cooler radiator on the painted surfaces of the car (antifreeze is aggressive in relation to them).
    Taking a radiator from an impellent compartment, try not to damage its plate about blades and a casing of the fan (arrow).

Radiator installation

After removal the radiator can be checked up on presence of signs of leaks and damages. If the radiator requires under repair, it it is necessary to send in a specialised workshop or the dealer branch, having in the order the corresponding equipment.

Taking a radiator from the car it is necessary to remember an arrangement and an order of installation of various rubber pillows and sealants (top, bottom and lateral). At assemblage all of them should be established in accuracy on the former places.

Rubber уплотнители and the pillows established on perimetre of a radiator and between a radiator and the condenser should be established at assemblage in accuracy on the former places.

Remains of insects and old leaves can be removed from backlashes between plates of a radiator by means of a soft brush or compressed air. Try not to bend a plate and not to cut about them fingers. At a radiator purge direct a current of air only to the opposite party from the engine.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check up radiator support on presence of signs of ageing of a material of rubber pillows and track, that in them it has been forgotten nothing at radiator installation into place. Installation make upside-down. After installation fill system of cooling with a mix of demanded structure (see the Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance). Start the engine and make sure of absence of signs of leaks of a cooler. Allow to the engine to get warm to normal working temperature that proves to be true a warming up of the top hose of a radiator. Again check up cooler level, in case of need make having added. If works are made on equipped АТ the car, check up also level трансмиссионной liquids, in case of need make having added.
