Check of a condition of candle wires, covers and бегунка the distributor (each 48 000 km (30 000 miles) run, or times in two years)

Check of a condition of candle wires should be made regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car, and also each time at replacement of spark plugs.

In avoidance перепутывания wires at connection check each of them serially.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a wire from the first candle. For this purpose undertake only a tip (cover) of a wire and pull it, simultaneously slightly turning. At all it is not necessary to undertake and pull for a wire. Check up internally walls of a cover of a tip on presence of traces of corrosion (as a fragile crust of white colour). Again put on a tip a candle shaft. The tip should keep on a shaft hardly enough. If it not so, remove a tip and nippers cautiously turn in the metal plug in it so that last densely kept on a candle shaft. Pure rags wipe a wire on all length, having removed from it all mud adjournment and greasing traces. After wire clearing check up it on presence of breakdowns, прогаров, cracks of isolation and other damages. Do not bend a wire excessively as it can lead to its breakage. Disconnect a wire from a distributor cover. Again pull only for a tip, instead of for a wire. Also as before check up a tip on reliability of fastening on the plug and presence of traces of corrosion and other damages. Connect a wire to the plug of a cover of the distributor. On one check up a condition of wires of the remained spark plugs, watching reliability of fastening of wires on candles and plugs of a cover of the distributor after check end). If replacement of candle wires is required, it is necessary to get the wires approaching particularly for the engine of your car. In complete sets of a wire offered on sale usually are already cut on length and are equipped by tips. Remove and replace each wire separately in order to avoid a wrong order of their connection (which observance extremely important for normal functioning of the engine). Give screws of fastening of a cover of the distributor. On engines V8 for providing of access it is required to disconnect vacuum lines of system recycling the fulfilled gases (EGR) and electric sockets. Delay a cover with the wires connected to it upwards, having separated it from the case of the distributor and put aside. Now it becomes well visible бегунок on the end of a shaft of the distributor. Carefully check up it on presence of cracks and coal paths. Make sure of adequacy of the effort developed by a spring of the central plug and examine a nouse бегунка about revealing of traces of corrosion and deterioration. In case of absence of confidence of condition definition бегунка replace it.
    Бегунок the distributor should be checked up on presence of wear tracks and corrosion, as is shown in drawing (in case of absence of confidence of condition definition бегунка, replace it).
    If replacement carrying out is required, remove бегунок from a shaft and establish on its place the new. Бегунок in a tightness it is planted on a shaft and can be removed a way поддевания any lever. Бегунок can be established on a distributor shaft uniquely. Established in a tightness бегунок it is equipped built in directing шпонкой which at installation should be combined with a groove on the shaft end (or on the contrary). Check up a distributor cover on presence of coal paths, cracks and other damages. Attentively check up plugs in a cover on presence of signs of corrosion and damages. Presence of insignificant adjournment is admissible. Again, in case of absence of confidence of an estimation of a condition of a cover simply replace it. Before cover installation into place do not forget to put a little silicone greasing on each of plugs. Track also correctness of installation in a cover of a coal brush (the central plug) - excessively wide backlash between a brush and бегунком can be at the bottom of a burn-out бегунка and-or damages of a cover of the distributor.
In drawing cases of the most typical defects meeting at survey of a cover of the distributor (in case of absence of confidence of definition of a condition of a cover, replace it on new) are resulted.
    For cover replacement simply remove it from the distributor and on one rearrange from it candle wires on the prepared new cover. At all do not suppose infringement of an order of connection of wires! Establish a cover on the distributor and fix its screws.
