Functioning check, removal, installation and adjustment of the gauge-switch of stoplights
The gauge-switch of stoplights is fixed on a flange on a basic arm of a pedal of a brake. The gauge-switch subject to adjustment applied on models 1993 вып. It is fixed on an arm by means of a clip; the gauge-switch with the automatic adjustment, established on model since 1994 вып. Fastens in an arm by means of the built in clamp.

Check
Models 1993 вып.
|
Make sure of operation of stoplights at squeezing of a pedal of a brake.
If stoplights do not light up at pedal squeezing, check up a condition of a safety lock and lamps of signals (the Head System of an onboard electric equipment), then again check up gauge-switch functioning.
If after entering of corrections stoplights on the former do not work, try to make gauge-switch adjustment. Again repeat check.
If gauge-switch adjustment has not helped, make sure available on plugs of the switch of a food (electric schemes in the end of the Head System of an onboard electric equipment see).
If a food is present, whether check up it takes a place on plugs of feeding conducting of lamps of stoplights.
The faulty switch replace. If to achieve satisfactory operation of stoplights it is not possible despite that the gauge-switch is perfectly in order, try to find short circuit or breakage in conducting between the switch and lamps of stoplights.

|
First of all spend all external checks described in the previous subsection (a safety lock, lamps, a food on the switch, pressure between the switch and lamps, etc.).
If to eliminate refusal it was not possible, remove the gauge-switch, disunite its electric socket, then establish the switch on a place (see more low) and by means of an ohmmeter or a tester of breakages check up a continuity between plugs 5 and 6 sockets, for what:
For full length take плунжер the gauge-switch.
Connect ohmmeter wires between the mentioned plugs and consider instrument readings.
If the continuity is absent, pass to the following check. If takes place, - replace the gauge-switch (in it breakage or short circuit takes place).

By means of an ohmmeter or a tester of breakages check up a continuity between plugs 1 and 2, then 3 and 4:
Against the stop press плунжер in the gauge-switch.
Connect ohmmeter wires between plugs 1 and 2 sockets and consider instrument readings.
If the continuity is present, the switch is perfectly in order. If is not present, - replace it (in it breakage or short circuit takes place).
Repeat check for plugs 3 and 4.

Replacement
|
Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
Uncover a steering column and the bottom panel of an upholstery under the panel of devices (the Head the Body).

Models 1993 вып.
|
Disunite an electric socket of the gauge-switch.
Turn out the gauge-switch from the holder or, having shaken upwards-downwards, extend from the holder back.
Screw the new gauge-switch, completely having planted it in the holder so that плунжер has rested against a brake pedal.
Connect an electric socket.
Make gauge-switch adjustment.

Models 1994 and 1995 вып.
|
Against the stop squeeze out a brake pedal.
Turn the gauge-switch approximately on 30 counter-clockwise to отпускания a clamp, then, having pulled back, take the switch from an arm.
Disunite an electric socket and remove the gauge-switch.
For full length take плунжер from the gauge-switch.
Connect an electric socket.
Squeeze out a pedal against the stop and keep it in this position.
Combine a lock uvula of the gauge-switch with a reciprocal groove in an arm and insert the switch into an arm, having turned for fixing on 30 clockwise.
Release a pedal of a brake and completely delay it back. It will allow плунжеру to occupy the gauge-switch correct working position at вталкивании its pedal in the switch case. During automatic adjustment the gauge-switch should publish clicks.

Establish into place the panel of an upholstery and a cover of a steering column (the Head the Body).
Connect a wire to the negative plug of the battery
Test gauge-switch functioning.

Adjustment (only for models 1993 вып.)
|
Manually translate a brake pedal forward and check up functioning плунжера the gauge-switch (useful there will be an application of a pocket small lamp and a small pocket mirror). Плунжер should remain in completely extended position when the pedal free wheeling will be chosen and car braking will begin. The backlash between a head плунжера and a pedal in this point should make from 1,6 to 3,2 mm.
If a backlash between плунжером the gauge-switch and a pedal in norm, and stoplights join regularly, adjustment is not required.
If плунжер the switch the backlash between плунжером and a pedal below norm is not completely put forward from the case, i.e., make adjustment, for what:
Grasp a pedal of a brake and delay it back against the stop.
The pedal should concern the switch cylinder, push it back in a clip and fix in correct position.
Again measure a backlash between плунжером and a pedal. In case of need repeat procedure
Test gauge-switch functioning.
